Shira Schwartz
Shira Schwartz graduated from McGill University as a physiotherapist, and started her work in private practice with a mixed caseload of orthopedics and pelvic health. As is a common story with most pelvic health physiotherapists, Shira’s interest in pelvic health stemmed from receiving care for her own pelvic health symptoms as a competitive dancer.
Growing up as a competitive dancer, injuries were quite common to Shira. She knew even as a child that she would eventually become a physiotherapist. Shira has a passion for helping other athletic individuals to return to their sports despite injuries or pelvic symptoms.
Shira currently works in a pelvic health focused private practice, with a large number of pre and postnatal clients. Shira has a passion for helping parents prepare for their labor, heal postnatally, and helping them to return to all of the physical activities that they enjoy. In addition to treating the parents, she specializes in pediatric physiotherapy to assist development of milestones, and oral function. Shira also works with men, and children to assist in the resolution of their pelvic health symptoms.
Outside of work, you can find Shira working in her garden, working on home renovation projects, baking sourdough bread, or heading out for a run.
