Lee Macauley
Lee Macauley graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006. Upon graduation, Lee relocated to Calgary and worked as a Clinical Research Assistant with the University of Calgary Sports Medicine Centre. She has contributed to studies for Concussion Management in Hockey Players, Knee Osteoarthritis Prevention and Injury Prevention in Soccer Players. During that time, she and her husband opened their first clinic (Momentum Health) and grew to 9 different locations including with the Alberta Ballet and Calgary Police Service. She was the Clinic Director at Calgary Police Headquarters and provided injury management for all new police recruits and sworn members for 10 years. She also took some time off to work in Montreal at International Headquarters with Cirque Du Soleil.
Lee is certified in acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and Gunn IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation). She is rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta in spinal and peripheral manipulation and completed her orthopaedic level 2 upper and lower quadrant training in manual therapy. In the past 5 years, Lee became interested in pursuing pelvic health and has completed further training in incontinence, dyspareunia, pregnancy & pelvic girdle pain, visceral manipulation and hormone yoga therapy (HYT). Lee is passionate about health promotion and the preventive measures people can take to maintain and improve their overall health and well-being. She is excited to contribute to educating and advocating for the profession of pelvic health physiotherapy as a lab assistant with the Pelvic Health Solutions Team.
