Quelen Farias, BScPT, CYT – Registered physiotherapist. Member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association: Pain Science and Women’s Health divisions. Certified Yoga Teacher.
Quelen graduated from the Lisbon School of Health Technology (Portugal) in 2011. She developed a great interest in pelvic health while still in university.
Throughout the years, Quelen has completed extensive training in Pelvic Rehabilitation, covering several aspects of pelvic health including prenatal care, postpartum health and return to fitness, bladder and bowel health, sexual health, and complex pelvic pain.
While Quelen has experience in orthopedics and geriatric care, she has been practicing exclusively in pelvic health for most of her career.
With a trauma informed approach, Quelen aims to offer her clients a safe space, where their ideas and concerns are validated, and they feel heard and respected.
She loves helping people achieve their goals through functional movement and exercise, manual therapy techniques, and education. She works towards guiding her clients into creating their own “toolbox” which they can use whenever they need or want, giving them the autonomy to take charge of their health with confidence.
Quelen strongly believes in empowering the public by passing on information, and advocating for pelvic health awareness. She likes creating and participating in educational workshops and is always happy to be a guest speaker at local events.
When she is not at the clinic or educating others about pelvic health, she likes spending time with her family, watching their favorite shows and relaxing, or going for walks and other activities.
