Alana Devlin obtained her Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 1996. Shortly after moving to Calgary in 1999, she attained her certification to practice anatomical acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. She went on to become a certified manipulative therapist in 2002 and began to pursue further advanced training in her passion for women’s health. She has engaged in advanced training throughout Canada and the US and is a certified practitioner of Röst therapy, specifically aimed at pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain.  In 2018 and 2019, Alana successfully obtained the certificate of achievement in pregnancy/postpartum physical therapy as well as the certificate of achievement in pelvic physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. Alana completed her Doctoral degree in physical therapy in the summer of 2021. She is proud to be an instructor and teaching assistant for Pelvic Health Solutions and Physiotherapy Urosante. Alana is fortunate to work in close alliance with gynecology and urogynecology and has much experience in pre-and post-operative treatment for gynecological and surgical interventions.

Alana holds the role of National prairies clinical lead in pelvic health for Lifemark Health as well as the lead physiotherapist for MAUD medical and pelvicfloor.com. Alana is proud to be a highly sought-after physiotherapist in Calgary, certified to treat pelvic health disorders ranging from fecal and urinary incontinence, painful intercourse (dyspareunia), pre-and postnatal education and treatment, prolapse, and other types of pelvic pain.

She is particularly interested in the promotion of women’s health and education regarding the prevention of common pathology. Alana has presented to numerous groups of physicians, chiropractors, personal trainers, and mother’s groups to share her passion for the education of under-recognized women’s health concerns.
