Olivia Drodge
Olivia Drodge is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and PhD student in the Health Professions Education Research (HPER) Program at the University of Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.
She practices at Women’s College Hospital within the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI) and the Trans-Related Surgeries Department, providing care for individuals with chronic pelvic pain, pregnancy-related pain, widespread pain, and post-operative conditions. Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based care, emphasizing patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Olivia is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where she leads the pelvic health curriculum and teaches content related to gender-based violence, chronic pain, and culturally safe care. She is an invited speaker at national and international conferences and interprofessional forums, where her work advances equity-focused, trauma-informed approaches to pelvic pain care and health professions education.
Her doctoral research examines how physiotherapy education can be transformed through critically reflective and interdisciplinary pedagogies to improve care for individuals experiencing chronic pelvic pain, with a focus on trauma, epistemic injustice, and women’s and gender-diverse health.
