Katie Hauck

Lab Assistant

Katie is an experienced orthopaedic and pelvic health physiotherapist. She obtained her Honours Degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph, followed by her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. During her formal educational years, Katie took a particular interest in anatomy and the connectedness of different structures in the body with the pelvis as a key pillar.

While navigating her own struggles with challenging menstrual periods, back pain and persistent pelvic pain, Katie became passionate about pelvic health physiotherapy early on in her career. She continues to update her skills with courses in both orthopaedics and pelvic health growing her toolset to help her clients better achieve their goals. Through a tailored approach involving multiple modalities including hands-on manual treatment, acupuncture and exercise, Katie strives to identify the root of her clients’ concerns so they can take control of their health and get back to what they enjoy the most in life.

Katie is experienced in treating a variety of pelvic health conditions in both men and women and has taken a special interest in addressing pain with intimacy, diastasis recti concerns, and navigating the effects of cancer treatment on the pelvis. She has presented at a number of cancer-specific events focused on pelvic health. Katie also conducts community workshops on pelvic floor training to address bladder and sexual health concerns.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time in nature whether it’s on a bike, running, paddleboarding or a leisurely hike with her dog. When presented with the opportunity, Katie loves to explore the underwater world while scuba diving.
