Cancer in the Pelvis
Cancers in the pelvis account for a relatively large percentage of new diagnoses for both men and women: 45% of new diagnoses in men and 23% of new diagnoses in women. There are many different types of cancer in the pelvis, some common to both males and females, and some specific to both.

Side Effects of Cancer Treatment
Side effects can occur with any type of cancer treatment, whether that be surgical, radiation, or chemotherapy. The severity and type of side effects will depend on the specific area or organs effected, size of area treated, type and amount of surgery/radiation/chemotherapy, and overall health and co-morbidities. Commonly experienced symptoms for post pelvic cancer can be categorized into three main groups: urinary, bowel, and sexual.
