Michelle Cooper(Day), MPT, BScEd, CAFCI (acup) graduated in 1998 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center Masters of Physical Therapy Program and graduated in 1992 from University of Nebraska at Lincoln in Secondary Science Education. She has over 20 years of experience in Orthopedics, Manual Therapy, Pelvic Health, and uses a BioPsychoSocial Approach. She has practiced in Texas, Canada, and Nebraska. She currently has an online practice and teaches online Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes – michellecooperpt.com . Prior to beginning her career in physiotherapy, she taught high school chemistry and physics. She enjoys continuing to use her teaching skills to teach physiotherapy courses with Pelvic Health Solutions.
Michelle’s practice focus is women’s and men’s pelvic health and orthopedic physiotherapy. She is part of a specialized group with training allowing her to treat men and women’s pelvic floor issues including pre/post natal, bowel/bladder incontinence, constipation, prolapse, and pelvic pain. Her orthopedic training and experience allows her to assess and treat the spine, pelvis, and hips which are closely related to the pelvic floor.
Michelle is a teacher at heart practicing physical therapy with a focus on research and innovation while using both compassion and understanding. She believes that Knowledge is Power. As a physiotherapist, she utilizes her teaching background to make a lasting impact through educating patients so they fully understand what they are facing and what they can do about it.
